I placed two of them in close proximity.
I put two of these right next to the litter box expecting a little improvement, they actually helped a lot. I've put one up near the bin and another in the living room and so far I have to say I'm impressed. I can't say I understand physics or chemical reactions, how and why these things work, but my vote is for them. I have yet to try hanging the steps to rejuvenate them but I bought some suction cup hooks to hang inside the window to do this at the 1 month mark in a couple of weeks.
