Great for reducing desk clutter
I use docking stations to connect my laptop to external monitors with external keyboards and mice in three different office spaces; These docks always place the music jack on the front (useful for headphones). I wanted something that would quickly get the cable out of the way, rather than sticking out a few inches before I could bend the cable back to get it out of the way (for external speakers, not headphones). They fit well at both ends and don't add any static or sound degradation as far as I can tell. That's exactly what I wanted.
