Restored my OfficeJet 8600 printer! No regret!

Like you, I had a lot of doubts about paying around $170 for this printhead part when I could just buy a new printer, right? I did just that and ended up searching YouTube for many reviews of the best printers under $200. I ended up buying a Cannon Pixma all-in-one printer and was generally disappointed with how cheaply all-in-ones are made these days. I was wondering what I really like about my current office jet, how durable it is and how it has dual scanner (which is very hard to find on current multifunction devices). So based on my experience and reflection here, I bit the bullet and paid $170 for this part. When I received it the setup was so easy I did a test print and was amazed at the quality of the colors as I got this printer back on day one! If you're reading this (in the same boat as me), I say go for it. I know this is an expensive part but remember, #1 - HP no longer makes this part and #2 - it comes with a "setup/start" ink pack which is and probably HP sourced can also be used after installation (which costs about $100, so theoretically it's only $70 for the printhead itself). Don't waste your time with other printheads that are much smaller but refurbished. After all, I went through this a while ago (on eBay) and ended up sending it back as the print quality got even worse. Looking back, I hope this review gives you confidence that purchasing this device is the right choice and helps me avoid the time and effort it took me to come to that decision.
