This remote control has been the solution to many of my elderly mother's and her children's problems. It was so easy to program individual buttons from the old remote that I wanted to use them on this new remote. I had to solve a cable box issue related to the 1,700 channels my mom would be getting which led to the problem of her losing her cable box, but that was easily solved when I chose eight of her favorite channels. Channels which was all she needed I programmed the channel up and down buttons to match the favorites button on the old remote. Each channel button she pressed scrolled through her eight favorite channels over and over again, keeping her away from everything else that was perfect for her. I highly recommend this remote to save time and frustration for anyone who has an elderly parent who doesn't watch videos and needs to control other devices along with the TV. Definitely a five star and very affordable solution to a frustrating and time consuming problem for those who need a solution to this type of situation.
