I have a 20 year old Craftsman mower with a 18.5hp twin cylinder engine. The motor is notorious for eating coils. A transient voltage occurs when the engine is switched off. I installed all the fixes to the motor but it still damages the coils. Over time, they become so weak that they no longer produce enough spark to start the engine. The price of these coils was around 25% of the local price. They work well and my mower works.
