Although it claims to be effective at chilling food during the "hot summer", it actually only cools about 30 degrees below ambient temperature. Of course, if it's 90+ F outside my food and drinks won't be very cold, but it works well with previously chilled foods and ice packs to stay cooler longer. The heating function can be useful for keeping takeout food fresh. and warm up on the way home, but it can take up to an hour to reach peak temperatures. So plan ahead if you need to keep something as warm as possible. also runs very quietly as no compressor is used. It's easy to set up and use with a simple flick of a switch, and the body, lid, and grip feel well built to hopefully last.
