This chain scraper works well on my cast iron pans. The crunch of metal on metal takes some getting used to. I used to use a green cloth to clean it, but then it turns so black with grease and burnt bits it looks disgusting. The chain scraper takes everything out of the pans and still looks good doing it. It leaves a greasy layer on it, but a quick clean in the dishwasher will solve that problem. After using this scrubber I understand why the core is basically a silicone sheet, it keeps the shape of a sponge and is flexible but doesn't absorb grease. The stainless steel chain links appear to be perfect circles and the stitching is very closely connected. They are almost invisible. This chain washer will last a long time.
