These elastic silicone caps are great! I still had the old plastic/elastic stretch lids that didn't stretch too much, got dirty, or were just unusable when they started peeling off, but after using them I threw them all in the trash. Nothing to complain about here: they don't crumble and are much easier to wash out thoroughly because the gum doesn't clump - there's no gum at all! and the object to be coated must be completely dry to create a seal. This can be tricky when you're covering a slightly warm dish before putting it in the fridge. However, unlike the old plastic stretch caps, they still offer a tight seal, so they outperform them even when wet. It is important to choose a size slightly smaller than the item you wish to cover. This means you'll have to stretch and tug a bit, but the resulting seal is worth the minimal effort (it's thin silicone so it stretches relatively easily, and there are handy tabs you can tug on to get the seal you want to obtain). good product.
