Review on Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice SUV 235/65 R17 108T winter by Stanislaw Banasiuk ᠌

Exactly what I needed, it's a great buy, I recommend it.

Naturally, I'm a little taken aback by so many glowing reviews, but! Let's proceed in chronological order. Amount of 255/55/18 was spent on Tuareg. Initial thoughts: WOW! Does this occur? Smooth, quiet, and soft! Additionally, when combined with pneuma, often take off! I didn't have tires that were as comfy in the summer as I did in the winter. However, if there are clear negatives, then let's discuss them as well since there is no perfect rubber and not many people discuss the negatives in this space. The primary drawback is the opposite of the plus. To be soft like that. The sidewall is so soft that the rubber is forcefully forced through it. The rubber will harden in this position if the car is left overnight on bumps, such as driving one wheel onto the edge of a curb (or something similar), and if it is below zero outside the window. When you start moving the next morning, you will discover a beating on the steering wheel. In other words, the rubber assumed its shape and then froze. Of course, this will pass in a few minutes, but on other tires, this was not the case. A weak sidewall is the second drawback. The wheel appears a little flat even with a 2.5 pressure. I do not advise driving this rubber through the pits quickly for that reason. Damage has a good likelihood of happening. The third drawback is that the rubber slightly collapses when turning energetically. or it bends, I suppose. Despite the fact that my profile isn't the best, I hope you can understand that I don't know how to properly state it. Additionally, these are the effects of a soft sidewall. Of course, rubber also offers advantages, but those have been covered extensively, so I chose to focus more on the disadvantages. As a result, the tires proved to be suitable for a moderate European winter (or for the current winter in Hong Kong, seasons 19–20). For conditions like ice, snow, and low temps, I probably wouldn't advise it. Additionally, I do not suggest purchasing it on terrible roads. Super tires for nearly ideal conditions! It is worthwhile to provide the provinces of 2022 and the north a hundred different thoughts.

Pros
  • Soft and quiet - Excellent resistance to hydroplaning! excellent tire for slow driving.
Cons
  • Don't anticipate miracles on ice because of the fragile sidewall. Cons are listed below.
