Review on Columbia Women's Montrail F K T Running Shoes for Women by Christina Ford

These shoes are one of the best road walking shoes (aka power walking but road walking sounds cooler) I've found. While I love my Salomon X Ultra 3 GTX for flatland hiking, they can be a little rough which is not the case with the Columbia Men's Montrail Fkt. Note that I don't use these as trail running shoes, I use them as hiking shoes. In fact, you'll find that the shoes most Appalachian Trail Thru hikers prefer are running shoes of this type, which had a lot to do with my purchasing decision. Unlike most road running shoes (I'm a HOKA fan). , they have no significant heel-to-toe drop, meaning they roll off better when hiking/walking than when running. Okay, sure, black hides dirt well and is a good shade for a man, but my goodness. How about a little color or even a neutral like the slate grey/light red I bought. So if you don't like malls and tackle your car trips as part of your workout, these shoes are for you! PS: These are men's sizes, not women's sizes.
