We bought a wall light to replace a stair light. It is an eye-catching detail and, once installed, illuminates the staircase well, so from a functional point of view it is a good light. Before I add my 'but', I want to say that I'm not a professional installer, I've been able to 'do it myself' a lot of lighting installations in my experience, so my mind isn't like someone who's gone through lack of skills is frustrated or knowledge. So cheap Chinese junk. I've never seen such thin wire on lighting fixtures before. And the plug used broke, although I was very careful with it. This of course required building your own connector, which was very difficult due to the very thin wires. Also, the live and neutral wires were blue and brown instead of black and white respectively, and the ground wire was yellow with a green stripe. If you intend to sell this product in the US market, please use US standards. Finally, the only useful thing about the instructions was that the blue wire was live and the brown wire was neutral. Otherwise they were useless. Whatever the case, I got it and love the look and function. If I had bought the product from a nearby store I would return it as soon as I saw the cords and the plug was definitely broken. Since returning an item bought online is less convenient, I proceeded with the installation. I believe many homeowners will find this a MUCH more difficult installation than any other fixture. I would NOT recommend buying this light.
