I bought these 15 pound pull door catches to replace the hardware on our original 1950s closet door (23"W x 79"H, hollow core oak). They install easily and do what they say, but next time I'd get the next heavier magnet with a stronger pull weight. They hold the door closed, but you have to push the door closed all the way before the magnet does its job (no giving it a general push in the right direction for the magnet to pull it closed the rest of the way).
