So we hesitated for about a year to decide if we would spend the money to buy one of these. We've decided we don't need it. We were wrong. At some point, I don't know when, we plugged into a dirty power grid and set fire to the converter box in our RV. It took us a while to figure out what the problem was as we regularly smelled "hot wires". After $300 (new circuit/converter box) and a few days in extreme heat to replace the burned box, we took the plunge and bought this one. On the next trip, this saved us from another "dirty power" situation and probably a new converter box too. Definitely recommend
