I was 100% skeptical when I ordered this item as I have used countless network streamers, bridges, adapters, etc HD streaming. TIL TODAY. This product worked! I'm just really happy about it. The only criticism is the installation instructions, which are really grim. Here's how I recommend setting it up for DSL: 1) Plug the powerline adapter (white block) and block jumper into a wall outlet (DO NOT POWER OFF - when I tried the splitter, the utility didn't recognize the device). )2) Connect both devices to the main router with an ethernet cable (your main router must have extra outputs for this)3) Insert the CD with the setup utility and wait for the program to detect both devices (I have the Default not changed settings) (I also downloaded the updated version of this utility directly from Netgear website first) 4) After both devices are detected, FIRST press the security button on the white device for about 3 seconds, then press the security button on the bridge -unit 5) After about 10 seconds (maybe a few more) the blocks will now be talking to each other 6) Power off the bridge and unplug it from the main router and you can move your bridge block to the area you need to connect. your network devices. I used the ethernet ports on the bridge to connect my DirectTV network box, Blu-ray player, Onkyo receiver and Xbox. All devices instantly recognized the new "wired" (as opposed to wireless) connections, and all devices work a billion times better! I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone having wireless streaming issues.
