Updated 8/28/21: As mentioned below in my original review, I ordered the T9-1 and did a fairly thorough comparison of performance and sound quality between the X10 and the T9-1. Greatest value is placed on the sound quality. Conclusion: X10 wins. Yes, the T9-1 has slightly deeper bass than the X10. But for bass lovers, the difference is barely noticeable. And the T9-1's bass has an odd, uncomfortable thud that I don't notice on the X10. The T9-1's bass just doesn't sound as crisp and clear as the X10. Maybe the T9-1's larger body is causing that bang? I am not sure. In any case, the T9-1 gets a little louder again, just a little louder than the X10. Again barely visible. Overall I think the X10 just sounds better and combined with the fact that the X10 has an IPX6 rating the X10 is a better speaker overall. (I love the T9-1's lighting effects and how it automatically turns off after a while when there's no music coming in. But what matters most to me is the sound quality.) First review: I got hooked with a Bluetooth speaker. . I've had about a dozen of these over the years and currently have 4 with a fifth (W-King T9) on the way. I bought this W-King X10 a few weeks ago and it sounds great. I also have a couple of Doss speakers including 2 Doss Soundbox XL which are probably the best value for money as you get really good speakers for a low price. As a pair, the 2 Doss XLs sound fantastic with their deep bass subwoofers, but (a) they're only good for indoor use, and (b) the W-King X10 is louder with even deeper bass. Now that I've had my W-King X10 for a few weeks, here are the pros and cons: PROS > Great sound. I am a bass lover and this speaker will not disappoint. > Solid construction. This speaker is built like a tank. Looks good too > Highly resistant to water damage but will not submerge > Good value for money. CONS > I wish Bluetooth manufacturers/resellers wouldn't exaggerate battery life in their product descriptions. For example, W-King says the X10 can last 45 hours on a single charge. Well, that may be true, but read the warning in the description carefully. The lowest volume level is 45 hours. Damn, at minimum volume, almost nothing can be heard. So this battery definitely doesn't last as long as advertised if you use it like most people do ie at 50% - 75% volume. I'd say you get 5 to 8 hours of playback at higher volume settings. > I like to use the TF/SD card function. But I want the device to automatically shuffle the files instead of playing them one at a time. I contacted the retailer and he said there are no firmware updates available for TF/SD card playlist shuffling. (The Doss XL has a firmware update that will randomly play music files played from a TF/SD card.) > There is no auto power off function that turns off the speaker if there is no Bluetooth signal after say 10 minutes enters Finally, those who gave lower scores because the X10 didn't come with an AC adapter/charger are certainly entitled to it. However, the description clearly states several times that this speaker does not come with an adapter/charger. So it's not like they didn't tell you! Also, probably 90% of us already have adapters/chargers that we can use with the X10. It can be used with up to 30W adapter/charger for the fastest charge (3.5 hours). I don't have one so I just use my existing 10w adapter/charger. Yes, it takes longer to charge, but I just plug it in before bed and it's fully charged in the morning. So I can't wait for the T9 to arrive, then compare them and update this review. Stay tuned!
