A good unit, but keep looking.

First of all I am a locksmith with over 35 years experience. I have seen many combination locks on the market. I understand that not much more, you can use a well-known brand, but in this note I saw problems with well-known brands, as well as non-standard names. First, this lock was easy to install. Second, the installation was a bit confusing, but once you get the hang of it, it should be easy. I use in a barn (caveman) to house my CO2 laser and other projects. So I didn't need an expensive device. A bit easier for my taste from the lock side, but as I said, that happens in a heated shed. The key cylinder isn't as good as the well-known brands, but it costs $20-$40 more, so that's to be expected, especially for an imported lock. The electronics side is completely made of plastic and black. I wish they had made it out of a mix of metal and plastic. Second, I return it. Not because of the quality, but because I found a better device from the same company for the same price. Note that someone mentioned that the motor wasn't powerful enough to pull the bolt back. Well it's a setup issue, not a blocking issue. My device worked great after reading all the instructions and noticing the remark I missed regarding the lock transfer. I strongly believe that if it requires more than 2 fingers to lock the latch then the installation is wrong. I've repaired too many bolts due to customers pushing and pulling bolts. So if you need to force a deadbolt, you'll need to fix it before installing any of the electronic combination locks. And if you don't want to patch an existing setup, you don't need to bother buying a combo lock. This includes having to bend, lift, or rock the door to latch your current deadbolt. This is a decent combination lock. When installed correctly, it is a good alternative to more expensive branded locks. I can't confirm the durability. It's only been sitting in the driveway for a few days.
