Review on Braun HM1010BK MultiMix Mixer Black by Tonya Brown

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The Braun HM1010BK hand mixer packs a lot of power but is heavy and has a few plastic parts

Definitely a compromise between design/performance and price. It's a good distance from large mixing bowls and I like that the whisk tips are thin rather than the thicker, old-fashioned ones. With a power of 200W, it is quite powerful and has 5 speeds. However, there are a few things I don't like: (1) First, it's too heavy for a hand mixer. This can cause wrist strain when blending for long periods, e.g. B. for meringues or biscuits. (2) I'm not sure I understand the meaning of the sign on the front. This allows for some ventilation, but pieces of dough will inevitably get stuck in the gap. (3) Using the so-called "EasyClick Release" button requires excessive effort. (4) I'm not sure if "the design of the MultiWhisk differs from other thin whisks. (5) I don't like that the whisk parts are made of plastic which isn't as strong as stainless steel. Plastic has no advantage over all metal whisks and is just a way to save money on materials. I have an old Cuisinart hand blender that costs about twenty or thirty dollars more, but I like it a lot better. It's 220W and lighter, with all-metal whisk. So for now, this Braun mixer is just a fallback.
