Great adjustable stand for my 15" Macbook Pro. I was afraid the hinges would slip over time and I'd have to keep adjusting them, but the thing is very durable and will most likely never slip. There is a rubber pad between the laptop and all parts of the stand it makes contact with (bottom and front. Scratches shouldn't be a problem. Slightly cooler with the stand, or at least I've noticed that the fans run less, I believe this is because the heat is more easily dissipated from the bottom of the laptop.
