Review on Stromberg Carlson AM 200 Assist Handle by Ashwin Chauhan

When the original Lend-A-Hand pins and springs on my 2006 DRV 38RL3 fell apart I found this and it looked exactly like the one on my motorhome. Great I thought as I didn't want to drill new holes in the side of my rig. It turns out that the distance between the centers of the screws is 24 inches and mine is 23.5 inches. I can't find the 23.5" version anywhere and I don't understand why there should be 23.5" and 24" versions - WHY!? While I think this device is fine for my new setup, it won't work for me. I love that they added a third mounting screw compared to my old design that only used two, but it's all the same. and reused the original springs on the original part and spent a total of $6 to repair the original grip. This unit is cheap enough and I won't be returning it (someone threw the box away anyway) so it will sit on the shelf until I find a use for it.
