My dog is the most powerful chewer I've ever met, and is particularly adept at using her back scissor teeth. This toy withstood a LOT, and she never actually broke the ring into a "c" shape. However, she whittled it down to about half the thickness it originally was, and started swallowing little pieces of rubber (no toy is immune to this, in my experience--it just means it's time to take it away).
