Review on 🐶 Boosta Pooch Large Dog Car Seat: Double/Single - Ideal for Two Small Dogs or One Medium Dog, 30 lbs/14kgs Max by Sarah Holmes

This seat didn't fit my two very active (and small) dogs. It has some good qualities, but also some problems: THE GOOD: Not too difficult to install, although it takes a while if you need to fasten the belt behind the passenger seat (I used it on the passenger side). The soft side (the side is like the weight of the canvas). The top edge is slightly heavier. The pet harnesses are sturdy for what I got - some reviews said they were flimsy so maybe the manufacturer took notice. The seat came with two good pads - one is flatter and lightly quilted and the other is thicker (sherpa style fabric). NOT SO GOOD: No ability to adjust the length of the straps holding pets in the seat. My puppies are active and can also come out on the hook but they were still tied up and I consider this a safety issue. The carabiners are HUGE and HEAVY! They are too big and heavy (IMHO) for their purpose in a chair. They lengthen the harness and are heavy enough to load some small pets. I wonder if the manufacturer had to use larger carabiners when thicker cables were installed? Unknown. There is no way to adjust the top strap around the headrest. I wanted to try moving it to different layers on the passenger side, but there is no way to do it. The head restraint strap is positioned so that a pet could become trapped between the strap and the seat back. I have adjusted the seatback to the most upright position and there is still enough room for the pet to be trapped in an unsafe manner (e.g. putting pressure on the neck). The seat even tilts forward under the weight of my small pets. This made it difficult for her to climb out of the seat. Both of my puppies are small (no more than 6-8 pounds each). The chair was tight. The long strap that wraps around the seat back (when placed on the passenger seat) is loose. You can adjust it, but that requires a strong (or stronger) clip that will hold the belt where you want it. Conclusion: This seat did not fit me or my two pets. It has some good specs, but it could have been a bit more flexible in terms of rig customization, and the manufacturer needs to get rid of those giant carabiner rings. I returned it and the return was quickly accepted (thanks, kind seller!).
