This is an attractive set of 100% cotton towels - they're thick and soft and I really like the flat edge on one end, although I don't like the monogram 'S' tag (my name starts with an S). So I ordered them, just for fun). I ordered peacock blue, which is somewhere between denim blue and I think pretty iridescent teal peacock feathers; It's a little more muted than I expected but still very pretty. The fabric is listed as 667gsm so the towels have some weight (the weight per piece is also listed but gsm is used as a standard for comparison). The sides and ends are pinned up well and sewn up nicely (3 rows down the sides so they don't crumble). However, these are definitely not premium or luxury towels and they probably won't last all that long. The terry loops are densely packed but not woven as densely as high quality towels. After the first wash (cold water, gentle + tumble dry low as directed on the product label) some of the loops had already come undone. I've had plenty of towels that do this, usually after many washes, and I just snip off any long threads, but of course a bare spot on the material will eventually become noticeable. These towels are made in China and the current price of $33.88 for this 3 piece set is just too high - putting them in the same price bracket as high quality Turkish or Egyptian cotton towels with much higher gsm values. (800+) and there is simply nothing to compare. I would say a 33% lower price for these towels would be fair.
