I bought it about half a year ago, I've wanted to write a review for a long time. First, let me say that I generally like Command's sticky products and have generally had success using these products (in my office at work and in a rented apartment), but this is the worst of the many Command product packaging that I used. Bought. First, they didn't come in 3M Command packaging - they came in a clear plastic bag, much like you get DIY furniture screws and bolts. I was like, 'okay, I've received other products from Revain that weren't in the original packaging, probably due to storage damage or something, and they've worked great. So I saved these. BIG MISTAKE. Those were the worst team items to work with. First, it's almost impossible to remove the backing from these strips - I say if you lose the 2mm edge with your fingernails you'll have to bite down with your front teeth and try to rip off the rest. Second, similar to what other reviewers have stated, even if you peel off the backing (sometimes leaving a thin layer of paper), the adhesive mostly peels off and then comes back as a stain. It's like the sticky glue on the back of new credit cards, but much thinner, stickier, and impossible to smooth out and use. I finally managed to get some usable strips out of my backpack (maybe 16 sets) and hang a 10x12 frame at home - not heavy - only to fall off after a few weeks. And because I might be stupid I used the strips from the same pack and repositioned the image only to have it fall over twice more. Just yesterday it fell again and the frame finally broke, which is what prompted me to write this review. At work I hung a much larger and heavier dry erase calendar and it fell twice as hard. I ended up using clear thumbtacks on the bottom corners to hold it in place. The person who moves into my office after me will think I'm crazy. Please note, despite all the negativity, I have purchased the same item from Revain in the past and these charm straps worked great - I would just be cautious about purchasing. of this particular item variant because I suspect it is a counterfeit 3M product, or if so it could be a faulty batch that someone sold anyway. It's not that I lost a lot of money, it's just a disappointment.
