It really works! I rarely write reviews but this product is worth my time. First a bit of history, maybe others will benefit from my experience. We have SUPER HARD WATER. I assume their cause was our hard water overheating from direct contact with the heating elements. My wife told me to just put the tank back on and then I saw an offer to try it. I've told my wife to let me try and if that doesn't work I'll put the balloon back on. You must put this in front of the water heater. I don't think it actually filters but rather purifies the water. However. I only care about the result. For three days, "particles from the taps” became fewer and then stopped altogether. We are now in our second week of no "rocks" coming out of the faucets at all and my wife is in love again. with our tankless.
