I have just adopted two cats that are not socialized at all. They come out of hiding and stand on this scratching post! My little cat is about 8 pounds and she fills the hammock to capacity. It is also great for the top bed. My other cat is bigger, he's about 15 pounds and isn't as well suited to this. He's still attached to it but prefers the lazy boy chair lol! All in all, it was pretty easy to put together yourself. HOWEVER… the installation of pillars in the cat apartment literally made me cry because I was so upset. Eventually I got it, but wow. What's the time. I love this scratching post! Super soft, not quite sticky in appearance. Scratching posts don't offer a lot of scratching area, but that's ok!
