I'm very impressed with this light. The battery charging is a strange solution, but it works. The need to unscrew the base at all times that you are not using the light is important. That prevents battery drain. The battery life on high is short, but the battery is very small. Fits on a keyring or in any small pocket. Great for a backup light or for emergencies, great for uses where size and weight is very important. A little bit more expensive than I would have expected, but not unreasonable.May not be suitable as a gift for someone that needs a larger light with longer battery life.
