I installed a charge regulator with my John Deere tractor A in a metal pasture shed. Keeps the tractor's battery charged with 2 parallel connected 20W solar panels. The wires feel like silicone, are very easy to work with and are already stripped for you. Nice gesture. I used crimp butt connectors (I used the red ones for this gauge wire) to connect plates and battery leads. It was also necessary to attach heat shrink tubing, but I was in a hurry. Next time I fool around, I'll do it. Fully sealed with what appears to be epoxy in a metal case, the controller has a sizeable heatsink on the back, and it handles any light dust of snow that might get into the garage in high winds. There was a snowstorm yesterday, no big deal. I don't need load cables, but I checked them anyway. With the meter it looks like the load is always on and I haven't seen any obvious way to change this functionality. The only minor complaint is that the center LED is pretty dim. The other two are fairly bright and easy to see. I just got out and checked a few minutes ago and it's loading.
