After 2 washes the edges were crumpled although finished and I had to trim the frayed threads. I don't plan on ironing them as I'll be carrying them in my purse like real handkerchiefs during allergy season. It would be a relief if I didn't have to bring tissues every time! I bought some smaller printed handkerchiefs to keep in my evening bags.
