This is very helpful. I like having a speaker if you don't have headphones or need headphones all the time. This may involve loud music or listening to that music from afar. I'm someone who enjoys listening to FM or AM, reception is fair to good, but leaving the headset cord plugged in improves reception significantly for most stations. There are so many good points I have to tell you. I like that it turns off automatically after 90 minutes, it saves battery life. There are also many channels that you can program into memory. I recommended it.
