Great for camping! on storage and organization

We bought this for a recent hike. We usually just tie a garbage bag to a metal stand, but I wanted something more textured (see photo to the right of the camp stove). It's extremely lightweight yet tough enough for your typical camping junk. The 30-gallon black hefty bags are the perfect size for this and just enough to drape over the pages. I ended up using a binder clip to attach the bag to the bin once it started filling with beer cans. :) The zippered lid is a great feature so you can cover the jar during the day. We emptied it every night and kept it in the truck as we were in bear area. We didn't have holes in the garbage bags so the inside of the container didn't get dirty and if it did get dirty it could easily be washed out. There are also handles if you want to carry the bag for unloading in the container. There are several similar products but I bought this particular one because it has a loop at the bottom and a bar. We had no wind but it was nice to be able to anchor it if needed. The stand is really sturdy and made out of yellow plastic, or you can use a tent stand. At the end of the trip, we simply folded the container, secured it with the attached Velcro and slipped it into the storage bag that came with it. highly recommend if you are looking for a portable alternative to a hard sided bin.
