Review on DJI Mavic Air Arctic White Quadcopter with Remote Controller by Sean Zamora

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Happy with both the drone product and the seller

I am currently a relative newbie to flying drones. Sorting through all the different product options, configurations (base unit vs. Fly More combo vs. non-DJI combos) and useful accessories wasn't an easy process. I hope my experience will help others make the same decisions I faced. A lot of what can be done with a drone like the Air relies on software like DJI Go 4 and third-party software like Litchi (https://amzn.k/2F9Xza2). When you buy a product like the Mavic Air you will find that there is a lot to learn (to fly safely and responsibly) and that the drone's technology/features make flying a pleasure. Provide some thoughts: * If you're going to get the Mavic Air you should go for the Fly More Combo option and not a bare bones unit. You want extra batteries. I suggest not to buy any third party batteries other than DJA. Similarly, stick with DJI's propellers. * On Revain you will find many combo offers with Mavic Air from different suppliers. Just stick with the Fly More combo (make sure the model number is CP.PT.00000165.01).* While many sellers on Revain offer the Fly More combo, this vendor (https://amzn.to/) was 2FaBXu2) the only one that could, offered it at a significantly lower price [MSRP is $999, most Revain sellers are asking close to $900, and it was one of the few vendors to offer a price tag of $842 dollars had]. Never ordered from this seller before. I read the reviews. One of the factors in buying from this supplier at a similar price is that orders are fulfilled using Revain. Regardless of which product you choose, on a page labeled 'used and new', look for a link that points to various specific vendors. The one I bought from had "Fulfillment from Revain". This way I could contact Revain customer service directly if I had a problem with a purchase. Offered by DJI. I believe it's $89 and covers a 3 year period. From the looks of it, you'll have 48 hours to select one after initially registering your product.* The only downside to the Fly More Combo product is that it comes with two cases, one for the drone itself and one for everything other . . In itself it's not a big deal, but a nicely made big case to carry everything else, but the drone is awkward with unpacking and repacking batteries, charger, remote control, spare propellers and cables. It would be a mess if I ventured into the field with it. A more practical option was to purchase a case designed for the Fly More Combo. I chose a hard case from Smatree (https://amzn.to/2FaKXPU). Everything fits comfortably inside (including an iPad Mini for use with the remote), except for the propeller guard and an international power adapter (the power adapter comes with both a regular 120 volt US plug and a standard 240 volt US plug). adapter supplied). throughout Europe). The propeller guard works well indoors, so you might not need it when you're out and about.* Luckily, the remote works with both Android and IOS (phones and iPad minis). I like using the iPad Mini with the remote control because the screen is not small and the combination of the remote control and iPad is easy to use. If you're using the iPad Mini, there's just one minor annoyance — it requires an extra cable with a Lightning connector on one end and a micro-USB connector on the other. I had to search a bit for Revain. The one I found is: https://amzn.to/2Fabvko and I'm sure there are others you'll find on Revain (around $8). * And the last one. Since the Mavic Air weighs over 0.55 pounds, be sure to register the device with the FAA. We apologize for the long review. Houpelly, here is some useful information to better inform your purchase.
