I used concealer as a lip base but it was too dry and could accentuate lip lines even if it was a bit dry. Before that I tried several real lip primers. Shani. Like concealer, ELF is too dry and difficult to get good coverage, not to mention that lipstick application has become worse. But my efforts finally paid off! This is the PERFECT Lip Primer. It's not drying at all (it actually feels a little moisturizing) and glides on like a high-end lipstick, providing just enough coverage to appreciate the lipstick's true pigment and give it a bit of hold. Some people might think it's not efficient because it's not very opaque. More on the transparent side to give your lips an even tint. This is not a disadvantage. This is a plus. This ensures that no matter how much you exfoliate, moisturize, or use high-end lipstick, your lips don't get covered in such a thick layer of product. Her lips look cakeless and tasteless. I have found that the best way to apply is to first outline the lip line and then fill in the lips. I'm so glad I finally found a brand that knows what a true lip primer should be!
