Looks and fits like the original
The gas cap gasket looks and fits just like the original on our 2012 Beetle Turbo. The CEL light came on and our first thought was that it was caused by a gas cap or gasket so we bought that gasket. However, a code reader was later used which resulted in an O2 sensor replacement which cleared the CEL. But there's no harm in replacing the fuel cap gasket.
