I ordered a 34-36 inch belt for my husband who has a 35 inch waist. I probably should have ordered a size up as there is very little extra strap to wrap it around the side. It looks and feels a bit chunky as the top of the strap doesn't protrude far past the holes and starter loop. However, the belt looks good in person and feels high quality. It's not too wide or thin in width. In my opinion it is a true black. The belt came in a very nice gift box. But the skin was slightly wrinkled due to the box it was in. You can't tell when he's wearing it, but up close you can tell. Overall I would say this belt is good but not perfect.
