Works for my needs - Phone cord

We live in a newly built home that is prewired with phones, network and security system. I noticed that the phone wiring is done with CAT6 and RJ45 wall jacks. My old cordless phone base and VoIP box have RJ11 jacks. My VoIP box is in the utility room in the basement and my telephone base is in the kitchen on the ground floor. With these cables, getting everything up and running was as easy as plug and play. This was much more elegant than using adapters and short cables.
