These sweet hair claws - artificial pearls are fun and suitable for everyday use. At around 3 1/4 inches in length I would say they are medium and not large as stated in the product description. The spring mechanism is solid and gives a very good grip and I find these claws stay put during the day, but I don't think they're big enough for someone with really thick hair unless that's what they're looking for - something that uses can be used to create a half up/half down style. transparent - springs are silver (for transparent) and bronze (for brown) Each of the claws has seven fairly long teeth on each side + three short little studs that really help hold the hair more securely than other clips. These are normal teeth to me, one of the claws had a serrated tooth, but other than that all teeth are flat and comfortable on the scalp. Overall, the body of these claws seems strong, but the teeth seem to be the weak link - they look rather fragile and feel light. The claws were a bit difficult to open at first, but after a few tries they opened easily. The beads are mostly well attached, with only a few spots showing glue. Some of the beads don't match and are also slightly misaligned, so I think they're good for everyday wear, but I probably won't wear them for the evening.
