Review on Tera 18/8 Stainless Steel Mortar and Pestle: All-in-One Pill Crusher, Spice Grinder, and Herb Bowl by Jeffrey Mosqueda

I don't use this mortar and pestle like most people do. I was looking for something to break up the hard clumps that form in my large containers of coconut palm sugar. The sugar is unprocessed and completely natural, which is why large lumps form in containers, sometimes as big as a stone. I've already tried the potato masher but didn't like the results I got with it so I decided to give this item a try. I figured if it could crush hard pills then it could crush my coconut palm sugar cubes too! This set is really good. Very good quality stainless steel. Both parts have a certain weight. The pestle is strong and heavy. Once I got the hang of tossing it back and forth over large clumps, it worked great. It completely smoothed out the lumps and made them disappear without any effort. Just a quick rinse under the tap and it was clean. I really like this set.
