I've installed several sets of steps and these were CRAZY the hardest to install because of the adjustable plates with nuts. My suggestion is to toss the instructions in the bin and temporarily mount the brackets to the bodywork so you know where they are in relation to the steps, then loosely connect all the brackets to the steps separate from the car. Tightening the entire assembly is much easier. Also, the whistles are not as heavy as I had hoped. On the plus side, the packaging is great. No scratch on the powder coating when we received it.
