This spiral hook is ideal for yeast and sourdough. I've been trying for a long time to find one for my Artisan Kitchen Aid that only comes with a C dough hook and tried another brand that didn't fit the machine. This one works exceptionally well on my 4.5-5 Qt bowls. I didn't have to adjust the angle of the head at all. The spiral hook is the same length as that supplied with the machine, easy to attach and detach, easy to clean. Most importantly, the dough is smooth and pliable. I ordered several perforated baking pans from the same seller. Very satisfied.
