For an eco-friendly straw, this is one of the best straws I've used. It looks like a trickle of plastic, but it's not, and that's a good thing. Paper straws disintegrate after a while in the cup, but they can withstand hot or cold drinks without any problems. Each is individually wrapped in paper making them suitable for straw dispensers. I just like them because they feel like regular straws and when I have friends I prefer to give them a sealed straw because it makes them feel safer and they know they are the only ones touching it. Especially when I have guests that I don't really know and they come with someone else, they love it and they haven't gotten anything bad from them.
