Best thing that has happened to ballroom dancing since the Viennese waltz was invented

I have bad legs: no arch, tendinitis, bursitis, work. I've danced in expensive patent leather dance shoes for years, tried jazz sneakers and so on. While I'm sure I look great and can move, the pain must be too great. After a night of ballroom dancing, I hobbled to my car and hobbled the rest of the weekend. It hurt like hell. And nobody sold a less aggressive dance shoe for those who wanted to move properly but didn't need a streamlined shoe design (without any support whatsoever). Soles2dance appears. This amazing company mainly produced industrial grade suede straps for lack of a better description. I bought a second pair of comfortable sneakers, traced them on the wrong side of the sheets, then cut out the sheets, peeled off the lining, and glued them on. To be safe, I stood in my boots for 30 seconds and then. Boom; perfect new dancing shoes. I'm now the proud owner of the most comfortable dance shoes in Delaware: the New Balance 840s. I didn't even bother to cut/sand the rubber tread; I just glued these suede leaves on top. They are tight and I can clean them as usual. Note the measurements: 8.5 x 12 inches is just big enough to fit in my size 11 (US) men's running shoes, one shoe per vamp (diagonal). If you have smaller feet, you can put both shoes on the same sheet. In any case, save the excess material. Ladies like to use it to make suede boots to protect their heels.

Pros
  • Don't worry about messing around with dirty, smelly glue. Glue is not required for this product. Simply trace the soles of your shoes on this sheet with a knife or scissors, remove the protective film from the adhesive backing of these sheets and slide your new homemade premium suede soles onto your shoes. It is really that easy!
Cons
  • So far so good
