Review on πŸ“ž Renewed AT&T CL4940 Corded Phone: Answering System, Backlit Display - White by Debbie Markovich

Revainrating 5 out of 5

First review, great first week of use.

Arrived in excellent condition, package protection (refurbished by Revain) I don't plan on using the answering machine, it's easy to turn off. The audio is clear and calls me well. Product description, it does not use batteries. A small plug/adapter is supplied to power the backlight/screen and (as far as I understand) supports other features (e.g. answering machine?,?). Simple date/time setting, other basic functions with instructions included. We had no trouble reading the screen. We're usually sitting at the kitchen table when the phone rings - the screen with the orange and black display on the wall where we installed it is easy to read. The installation only took a few minutes. Wall mount tips: Some people have reported the phone slipping out of the mount. This won't happen after you flip the small insert that protrudes into the receiver's earpiece. You don't want to do this if you're using it as a desk phone. The phone has a built-in hole for the bottom wall mount hook. There is a 4 second step to add a closed piece on the back of the phone for the top hook. Hooks are designed with a 4 inch gap. Perfect fit for our 50+ year old wall mount. I didn't receive a full user guide, but was able to download one from AT&T. I need this to set up speed dial. Notes: Our primary phones are multiple cordless phones that share a common set of speed dial numbers, but they cannot be electronically ported to this phone. I bought the phone because I knew the speed dial would be set up if I got there before it did. :)
