A few months ago we got a kitten. My Weimaraners take a while to mature so they are still separated. At first our kitten was so tiny that it could crawl under the room door. We used a baby gate to prevent this, but removed the gate when it became too big to squeeze under. One day I walked into the living room and saw a dog and a cat nose to nose with each other! Although no one was hurt, it was a scary moment as they need to be watched closely when they are together. At first I thought my dog was opening the handle of the lever that led to the cat's room. After all, he is the smartest dog in the world. It took me a few more times to realize that the cat had learned to open the door by itself, little stinker. These locks are the perfect solution. They were very easy to install. The quality is great, especially for the price, and I love that it doesn't damage our doors. The only time a cat has escaped its room since I got it was when I forgot to turn my back on it, human error. I definitely recommend them for naughty Houdinis in your home, both human and furry.
