Full of glitches and not worth the hassle

I bought this to add Bluetooth capabilities to my new desktop computer with an 8th Gen Core i5 processor and an Intel Z370 chipset. It got some positive reviews here and was chosen by Revain's Choice for this type of product and for the price I decided I could afford to take a chance. At first everything seemed fine. Windows 10 identified and installed the driver for the device, and in no time at all I had the familiar Bluetooth icon in the taskbar. I was inspired; it appeared to be a guided USB install, a simple, no-fuss plug and play experience. When I tried to pair my Bluetooth headphones, the Windows 10 Bluetooth dialog went back and forth for over a minute. before you give up I've tried this several times, each time putting the headphones into pairing mode, but Windows couldn't detect them. Finally I went to the Plugable website and downloaded the driver for it. After installing and restarting, Windows kept spinning, but this time it finally paired. Yes! Everything should be fine now. Not so fast. The audio in the headphones was of good quality, but often "hiccuped" (disappeared or disappeared). Worse, when I tried to play a video game, I very quickly found a severe lag/lag in Bluetooth audio, up to a second or more. Imagine playing a game where your audio lags a second behind the graphics and you can imagine how insane my experience was. That's not all. After installing the Bluetooth driver, my iTunes stopped working. I restarted my computer and was able to launch iTunes but it became unresponsive for 5-10 minutes and had to be closed using task manager. I use my computer daily and have had no problems with it for the past few months. The problems started when I installed this seemingly harmless USB adapter. I pulled it out to make sure that was the cause. It was. iTunes was running again with no issues and I had no freezes or system stability issues and of course no lag when using wired headphones. Return it and exchange it for another brand, a brand with a proven track record of supplying reliable computer components.
