The pipes feel heavy and strong when you pull them out of the box. The frame easily snaps together using spring pegs. The trade off to that is the fact that the frame as a whole is very loose and moves very easily. I guess that is part of the design. The hooks were barely threaded and does require some tool time to tighten them. Thank goodness my new hammock came with extension chains because I wouldn't be able to hang it within them. We will see how it holds up to the Ohio weather but at least it is easy to take apart and store for the winter.
