Works fine for us.
Our puppy is about 9 months now old. He chewed on almost all of his stuffed animals so I was afraid he would eat it. Since we got him he has been crate trained for about 6 months. We kept the door open for a couple of weeks and we caught started folding his blankets and toys. I also wanted him to get used to the "smell" of our house before he lays it down. Now he sleeps in it every night and hasn't done any harm irritates it and falls asleep in it when tired.
