Fit is as expected, fell a little short of knee length on my lanky daughter, likely knee length on an average girl, sits ice on the shoulders, doesnt droop, or shift too much, arms holes are beige enoug for full range of movement, but also don't dip too low. The dress is a very pleasant texture and seems much more breathable and airy than most other dresses, which is why I wanted to give linen a try. It does seem a bit thin, in that, in the right light, people might feel compelled to use additional undergarments, but I don't eternally feel it is an issue. It is not so sheer that it doesn't serve its purpose as casual clothing. I don think it is classically adorable and sophisticated. I am tempted to use it for outdoor family photos, in which case I would put a slip of some variety under it. I kind of wish it came in more print options because my daughter would like another choice like this for comfort.
