I recently adopted a homeless Siamese cat that came into heat a few weeks before she was neutered. There was little she could do at the height of her arousal, but the pillow seemed to give her some comfort when she wanted to rest; she preferred it to her other usual surfaces. Before ordering this one, I bought another brand of heating pad from Petco with a fluffier, fleece-like finish, which she didn't seem to like at all. This napkin has a smoother lid, like a lamb's ear (a plant), which she immediately liked. Very easy to install and use - just plug in, the control panel is self-explanatory. The highest setting is comfortable, warm to the touch and not too hot. The cover can be opened with a zipper and can be easily removed for washing. Of course, every pet purchase is a gamble, but this one worked.
