Okay, this is my new guitar amp mic. I record at home, I route the microphones through the mixer and then into the audio interface, into the computer. The SM57 is considered the ideal tool for recording guitar amps the way it should be. except this mic sounds TRUE. With no bass clipping and a *mostly* flat EQ (I dropped the highs by about -4dB), I can't tell the sound from my amp from the sound coming out of my headphones. I was very skeptical as many reviews say it's a better all round mic than the SM57 but less for recording electric guitars and I can't help but agree. This is my new electric guitar microphone.
