I had a little spot over the garden sink in the garage where it was always dark. Of course, there are no outlets near the sink, so I needed a battery. This fixture turned out to be ideal for the length of the room. I attached it to the cabinet next to the sink. I really like that this light is directional. It is mounted on a magnetic base and rotates about 130 degrees on this base. The bonus is that it comes with two magnetic bases so you can use this flashlight in a second location. After I received it, it took about 5 hours to fully charge the flashlight. I haven't had to charge it yet, but it's in a place where I never need more than 10 minutes of light at a time, so the quoted 4 hour maximum should be enough for my application. It sticks out about 2 inches from the bottom of the cabinet so can be seen in my application if that's important to you.
